I worked on a 30 second animation to be played during a Cradle of Coaches themed football game to show audience members how to use an interactive NFC patch. I specifically worked on the intro and outro.
Miami University was nicknamed “The Cradle of Coaches” because of its
history of producing successful coaches, especially in football.
Process
For this project, I started with a template from an animation created by Rachel Kraimer, which was made for a football game last year that spotlighted Miami’s Western College.
I was asked to use her animation as a base and update the colors,
content, and graphics for the Cradle of Coaches. Along with making
these adjustments, I also created a completely new intro and outro.
Animating the intro: first, second, and third iteration
- Block out main elements and timing
- Smooth transitions and play with text animation
- Stagger animate-in by letter, polish transitions and timing
